Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) have developed an app for your smart phone (Android) to identify and report Invasive species (includes plants and animals and visual key to help with identification). You can download it for free from Google play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ie.mac.habitats&hl=en_GB

Or read more about the app and its launch at http://afloat.ie/inland/inland-waterways/item/19370-minister-launches-invasive-species-app-for-smartphones

Good to see IFI are tackling Invasive Species issue from all angles and a smartphone app is a good way to go on this problem, for people fishing on freshwater areas and botanists out for a stroll.

Now if only there was one for the iPhone or iPad......
