Orchis morio colony relocated in The Burrow, Portraine, Dublin after 3 year hunt

As part of the work I have undertaken on the Orchid Ireland survey of sites in Dublin, Meath, Louth and Westmeath I was charged with the task of re finding a number of locations of rare species, such as Orchis morio. On the 7 May 2011 the hunt for the site at the Burrow, Portraine in North Dublin was rewarded with the discovery of 100's of the plants in the front garden of a holiday cottage.
