Since the early 1980's I have photographed a range of Irish habitats and their wildlife, especially bogs, fens and wetlands and have compiled an extensive library of over 85,000 images. These have been used in a range of technical reports, publications and on-line resources.
In the mid 1980's I used a SLR Pentax camera when photographing these wildlife images and created a library of slide transparencies. Since 2007 I have used a Nikkon D50 digital camera and in 2010 added a Samsung WB600 to take digital images and video.
In 2010 I transferred the best of my slide tranparency images (some of which showed signs of degredation after 20 years in storage) to digital format using a Plustek OpticFilm 7600 scanner using Silverfast software. Over 3,500 images were scanned.
In the Gallery of this website you can see a selection of my Irish wildlife photographs sorted under habitat as well as flora or fauna categories.
If you would like to obtain high resolution images of any of the pictures in my collection please use the contacts page to get in touch for rates and conditions associated with the use of non-watermarked images.
Otherwise just enjoy the slide show !
